Most people when they're looking for a propert will go straight to rightmove or zoopla.

You could use one of those online agencies that get your property on those sites.

Local facebook groups? (I put a house wanted on my local facebook page!).

If you are in an area with lots of houses for sale, then you will need to get it on rightmove.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Yep, as Edi81 says if it's not on Rightmove it doesn't exist (at least for me, as a buyer).

You can't list directly on Rightmove, so you'll need to go through one of the online agents (I think many of them offer a fixed fee option rather than percentage-based).

Hi the Last house I sold was private (no estate agent used) in my local area there are many businesses a hospital an airport.
My first self advertising place was the local hospital,i was granted permission to attach my house advert a4 size on their staff notice boards throughout the hospital, very nice of them.
The property sold next day for asking price a very reasonable asking price as no estate agent fees to pay (would have been an extra £9300.00) so a happy seller and buyer.
Solicitor conveyancing charge to me of £1200
So you need to target your advertising,if your property (I don't know) needs updating, has room to extend up or outwards you could ask your local builders merchants permission to put up your a4 sized advert at their trade counter's,you never know a builder may be looking for a project.but that's how word gets around.
Well worth a try and its free !.

Edit. Rightmove site is also very good.

As said, if you're not on Rightmove and/or other major portals, you are essentially invisible.

Gumtree or local adverts will miss anyone moving from (say) 25 miles or more away.
