Holiday not honoured

Earlier this year I booked a mobile home break near my daughter to support her whilst husband was ill. I then broke my arm was unable to drive and my son in law was admitted to hospital. The holiday park were very supportive and agreed no refund but I could rebook when I was able.I had several conversations telling them when I was likely to book. When I tried to do this the site has been sold and new owner refused to honour the booking.
I got in touch with the original company for a refund but they rang me and said the site had been sold at a price reflecting all bookings paid and my complaint was with new owner. New owner says this is wrong and will not honour.
Payment was made from my account as no credit card facilities were available. The situation is further complicated by the fact that my dealings were with the management company although payment had to be made to the owners.
Has anyone any idea where I stand please?

Do you have a contract or any terms from when you booked?Back by no demand whatsoever.0

My guess is that the original owners only told you that you could rebook at a later date because they knew they were selling and wouldnt have to honour it

Write to the management company outlining the original issue and what you were told and asking them to resolve the issue?:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

Did you get the name of the person who made you the promise to honour the booking at a later date?0

Do you have this agreement in writing?
if not, would the previous owner put it in writing?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
It was all done by email and the contract was on the web but because the booking changed due to what happened to me the terms varied4743hudsonj wrote: »Do you have a contract or any terms from when you booked?0 -

The management company gave me the originsl holding company's address and telephone number and I wrote to them. They phoned me some time later after I made a chasing call to say they were advised by their lawyers that the selling price reflected holidays paid for and not taken. They said they would write to confirm but need less to say nothing has come and I have no email address from them. The new company deny this.Do you have this agreement in writing?
