Popla appeal advice?

Received an £85 parking charge notice from parking eye. Read some good advice on here and appealed, they wrote again saying it was unsuccessful, so going down the popla appeal route now.
We overstayed by 4 and a half hours. With there being no meter we presumed there was no fee. It was a busy day and the carpark was busy, need this be mentioned in the appeal?
It was a maximum stay carpark of 2 hours.
Our appeal has been rejected on the basis that the maximum time allowed was exceeded. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Kind Regards :-)

You need to read through the NEWBIES sticky, post #3 'How to win at POPLA'. No need to mention any 'wot appnd' in your appeal, it counts for nothing, either in favour, or against you.

Let us see your draft appeal and we'll help with any fine-tuning. Don't miss your POPLA deadline!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Please read the stickies, and also the popla results thread to give you an idea.

    Do not ignore
dont take your eye off the POPLA challenge/appeal time scales.

Politely complain to the retailer about the actions of their agents, if you dont have much luck then inform the retailer that you will be holding them jointly liable for their agents actions and you will / may be reclaiming costs from the retailer should they insist in allowing their agents to continue and your popla appeal/challenge be successful ( where applicable)
keep a time sheet of the time you spent + any aditional costs - be realistic don't be extravagant

Do not just copy and paste word for word, read through each point and try and get an understanding of what it means, saying the signs were unlit when you were parked during daylight hours may cause a few problems
