shower next to window - how to get privacy and not drench window?

So finally got the keys for new house. Not had a shower there yet but the bath with overhead shower is right next to a window which has that glass which makes everything look blurred but you can still make out objects.
2 questions. First, what's the beat solution to the problem of passers by seeing you in the shower? It faces onto the road which is a quiet road but still. Its otherwise a nice, tiled, modern and fairly minimalist bathroom. Am guessing either a roller blind or tilt blind will be suggested but would want something that looks good.
Second and related to this, want to prevent the window ledge and windows getting drenched everytime we have a shower so the above blinds would probably not meet this need. I know you can have a wrap around shower curtain but I hate these really, find they stick to you, look crap and get mouldy. The other side of the bath has a glass panel which is good.
So any solutions you have seen? Feel free to link up any good products. Thanks in advance😊

Would an extendable shower rail and curtain fit above the window ?0

Will have to check when I go back tomorrow....last resort is a curtain rail really but I guess there are no ingenious solutions I have overlooked.0

My parents have a bath which goes underneath a wide bathroom window as you describe, and the shower is on the wall at 90 degrees to the window wall.
They have a bathroom roller blind which rolls down on the inside of the wall, if that makes sense, rather than in the window recess. Therefore, when wound down to windowsill level, water doesn't enter the window recess at all and the privacy is also achieved.
In reality, water only hits the blind on the bottom half of its unwound length, so you can wind it back up quite a bit to put more light back into the room immediately whilst allowing the wet bit to dry.0 -
You can buy rolls of stick-on translucent plastic sheet quite cheaply, which will further reduce the extent to which people can see through the window.0

As wobbly dog says, it think there is a good make Fablon or something like that. I bought for our lounge in the last house, they are great, very quick to cut and attach and minimal light is lost.
I'm not sure how it would cope with the heat and water but a bit of research would tell you.0 -
You can get waterproof blinds. eg

You could change the screen to something like this to have more coverage:

Or go for a full enclosure like this (we have a window next to the bath, fitted this enclosure, and now no concerns with wet windowsills or soggy floors)

Is your body so desireable that people will be congregating outside the house to catch a glimpse of a blurry outline? I'd just not worry about it, and if the ledge and window get wet, wipe them dry once you've turned the shower off. Simple solutions are often the best.0

I've got the same problem and was looking at upvc shutters and tiling the reveal and sill. http://www.luxaflex.co.uk/products/indoor/vinyl-shutters/0
