in Credit cards
Hi everyone,
I borrowed money from my dad to go on holiday because I got a new job. Unfortunately the job has temporarily fallen through.
It was recommended as a cheap option that I get a 0% purchases credit card for 16 months and make a transfer of the £800 cash I owe in to my dads bank account as he needs it asap..
Is this right and is there a card I can do this with, without incurring charges?? please help:(

You shouldn't be able to borrow anything (except for high interest rate CC's) without a job. Non payment will destroy your credit rating. Your dad will understand (he'll have to) and wait for payment. He won't report you to credit reference agencies for non payment.
Your dad lent you the money knowing you did not have secure income. You might fall out in the short term but pay him every penny of your JSA and he should he see you struggling he might help you out.
Do you still live at home?:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

That is a meaningless poll, how do you expect anyone to vote when all you are doing is asking two questions about a credit card.0

It's been pointed out that this is ridiculous, but MSE do nothing.0
