declined mobile phone contract. 100% perfect credit score?

Hi
Ive just applied for a ee mobile phone contract in car phone warehouse. This was declined twice. I couldn't understand this as never had credit issues before, never missed any payments, They offered me to try vodaphone and got accepted straight away. When I got home I called ee to find out why and was advised there has been a manual entry put against me but couldn't explain what and advised to look on Experian. They also said the whole time they had worked at ee, he hasn't seen anthying like it. Ive checked credit report on Experian and it is all green and excellent. and 999. I couldn't see a manual entry but not 100% sure where to look. can anyone explain this for me why id be rejected?
Things will get better day by day.

  • Maybe a technical glitch or the connection was offline so they couldn't pull your credit history. Try to reapply at later time and see what happens.
  • sounds like EE have flagged you as not to give you a contract?

You had any issues with them before?

It appears EE has placed a black mark against you on their system, so it's no surprise that Experian doesn't know about it.

You could send EE a SAR (Subject Access Request), which might reveal the reason you were rejected, however it may show little more than a don't give credit marker.

Have you had issues with EE, T-Mobile or Orange before?

You don't have a credit score, let alone a "100% perfect one", as credit scores do not exist. As above, EE carry out their own checks and decided that you couldn't become a customer.
  • This happened to my friend when he tried to get a new phone a few months ago through EE, was a glitch in their system. At the same time though it could mean a million different things. You think you have a 100% perfect credit 'score'... As The Boss has pointed out, you don't have a credit score. What's your credit history like? Do you use credit cards? Do you always pay in full every month?
Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.
