hi,
have received my first offer from CapitalOne. However, they have deducted £12 from every charge stating that this was agreed with the OFT.
I am writing back to accept this as part payment only, this works and I have a copy of the letter. But I want to mention that the £12 charge is still not a true cost to the banks. I have read this on a thread, but cannot find it. Can anybody direct me to this.
Thanks

To be honest, I am pleased you have said this. The OFT report stated that the threshold of £12 was the upper limit in which they would not take action. However as you rightly say, it still does not make £12 legal.0
