Benefit Calculator

Hi, Does anyone know what benefits you are entitled to if you are a loan parent with a dependent in Full time University, The benefits calculator does not cover this?

    Once your off spring attend university then they are classed as non dependents.

    Try the calculator putting in this information.

    you will be treated as a single person.
    once your child has finished non advanced full time education, they are a non dependant adult

    I don't think this is quite true.

    Certainly as a full time student there will be no non dependant deductions but they should still be entitled to the two bed rate of local housing allowance if their son/daughter returns home during the course.
  • Are you a lone parent? Once your children are adults I don't think benefit wise you are a lone parent. It's like my grandma saying she's a lone parent to a 60 odd year old.

    Do you have younger children too?
