Hi all,
I just wondered out of interest, how much money do you have left over each month after paying out for bills and essentials for 'fun' spending (clothes, socialising, treats etc...) ?

the one that comes under 'essentials' (see post #1). I expect everyone who is MSE and sensible has one; don't you?
Of course I have a contingency fund but my question was aimed at PlymouthMaid. I am pretty sure people have very different views on what essentials are, and from what I have seen in various places, millions of people don't have any savings. For example, a Scottish Widows 2014 savings report says 19% (some 16 million people) have got no savings, which is quite scary. http://www.scottishwidows.co.uk/extranet/working/about/reports/investment-report0
