Aliexpress fakes?

So, there is a thread on grabbit about Aliexpress.
One of those threads points to a link for 'kipling bags' however people have pointed out you don't actually get a kipling bag but a copy with a Chinese brand label. So, not only are they selling using kiplings advertising material, but you are being sold something which is not as advertised.
But people are happy with all of this because the items are 'cheap'.
I don't get it. At what price does being conned become a problem?

You will receive a fake kipling bag with correct logo's etc if that's whats shown on the sellers pictures , Aliexpress if full of fakes0

It's Chinese, home of everything fake, do you really think designers let their goods be sold though Ali express?0

It's probably true, but there are plenty of designers who manufacture in China. It's Chinese, home of everything fake, do you really think designers let their goods be sold though Ali express?
The majority of people who buy fakes are happy doing so and know exactly what they are doing. Our tax money often gets spent protecting the big companies who charge over inflated prices for tat with a label on..0 -
I don't think anyone who buys from Ali expects genuine goods. DH has a Belstaff from there, he's got a genuine one he wears but wanted one for scratting around under cars etc. He knew it was fake when he bought it. Side by side you'd never know.
It cost him £40 for a decent wax jacket (and it is bloody good quality) he's happy with it.0 -
I guess it's because people like Kipling bags but these are cheaper. They don't care if it's a fake.
Personally I wouldn't want one if I knew it wasn't genuine. I'd rather pay a bit more and get the genuine item.0 -
No I don't get it either. I'd much rather get a bargain new or second hand genuine item than a cheap knock off. May as well buy off a market if you're going to do that?0

Problem is markets will sell the fakes at three times the price of Chinese websites. I've seen Ray bans on markets, perfect copies at £30 where on Ali they are £4 for the same thing.
Even if you are looking to buy something knock off you want to save money doing it.0 -

I bought some Nikes, £12 inc postage, really well made and pretty close to the real thing.
I also invested in some Polo polo shirts that proved to be badly made polyester fakes, I didn't demand my £7 back though.
Provided you know the score and are willing to risk the pretty low amounts in question Aliexpress is a good shopping venue."Love you Dave Brooker! x"
