Pro Call Blocker

Hi,
Hubby bought this product for his elderly parents as they are being bombarded with unwanted calls including international ones. (long story but we think his mother was scammed in the first place and it was them selling their number on).
Anyway, it works perfectly when plugged in at our house, but for some reason it doesn;t work at their house!
All we can think of is that they live in a very old house and maybe the wiring isnt up to it?
They are with Sky, and have caller id.
Any other ideas anyone please?

Have you tried it with your handset at her house?
  • Hi,
No we haven't tried ours, but he did try both her other phones that she had knocking about, and it didn't work on them either. He plugged it straight into the master socket, so don't understand why it didn't work

Are you with Sky for your line rental too?
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

Was their caller ID actually working before ???...or were they paying for something they couldn't/didn't use??

Plug a phone in which supports caller ID and make sure the service is actually live.
  • He did the (*) (#), 2, 3, 4, (#).to check that it was active, and it was. Also the phone also tells her whose calling.
Thanks for all your suggestions though, but it must be down to the old wiring they have at their house. The house is extremely old and in the Stiperstones, an old mining community.

The cpr call blocker claims to work ok on "all" main telephone providers. Has good write ups here and on the net. Ours works 100% (apart from owning one I have no other connection!)

You can try it for 30 days and send it back for a full refund. Might be worth a try.
