Applying for 2 different cards from Tesco

in Credit cards
Hi all
I'm waiting for my 18months 0% Purchases Tesco CC to arrive in the post to fund a big purchase, but it wont cover the whole lot.
I have another CC with a good limit on it to cover the remainder but it is an expensive 18% APR one. Was thinking, could I apply for Tesco's sister credit card, the 0% for 12 months, £0 fee balance transfer card to move the balance to this one or would I get rejected based on 2 applications to same lender in very short space of time?
Goes without saying I could fund this purchase in straight cash (debit card), but I want to hold on to my cash for as long as possible!
Cheers
