When I moved to my flat, I found a surprise, a whole lawnmower in a box in the loft. In a first floor flat with no garden... :D

Bought a repo: it had been empty for 2 years+: I'd bought it at auction never having looked inside: (Do not do this at home children)..

It had an electric cooker, I looked inside the grill and the pan was thick with grease and above a fossilised, well cooked, chipolata sausage.

Chucked grill pan, bought another: Two hobs didn't work: I bought new spare switches, £12-ish, used it for 2 years..

It came with a garage: I looked inside, there was a car: I enquired of next door if they knew who's it was. Turned out it belonged to another neighbour who, if he'd been out drinking late came home & found his missus would lock him out. He kept the car - old, non-runner - to sleep in. I asked him would he kindly move it: He did, finally, 6 months later.. Nice bloke, still on good terms..
