This was a thread about the introduction of sharia compliant loans, not anything to do with halal meat. It would have been better if people had stuck to that rather than distracting the conversation.
I'm sorry!
I tried to keep it n topic but then I think when people couldn't find much of a "fault" with shariah finance they attacked something that has been talked about before (Talk enough lies and it becomes truth) is: its a big and scary foreign sounding word
People like puk of course don't help either.0 -

A big thank you to Martin and the team for giving us some REAL guidance about student loans.
I read the article with interest. But, what about the unemployed? I've been out of work since May this year, yet applying for roughly 6 jobs a week!
I'm 56 but don't believe this to be a handicap in the job market. ' You're never too old to dream another dream or set another goal'. :j
I think that I would improve my future employment prospects if I could add a University qualification to my CV. I believe that we are not forced to retire now, until we want to - or it can be proven we are no longer able to meet our work responsibilites. So Uni may be the answer for me, but I can't seem to find anything definitive about grants/loans for students who are unemployed. Any ideas? Thank you0
