Faulty Economy7 Meter

Hi,
I've just taken my economy7 meter reading and noticed surprising and pleasant thing. My daytime rate electricity has not increased for an entire year! All my usage has been treated as night-time usage.
I kind of regret it now, but I reported this strangeness to my energy supplier as I was worried I would have retrospective bills calculated somehow and be landed with a big bill. Was I right in thinking they could do this or is it up to them to notice a faulty meter?
Thanks
