They bloomin well shouldn't! :eek: Maybe OK if agreed upfront and offset against what they charge you, if you can't be bothered scrapping it yourself.
When we had central heating installed & full rewire, I took all the old pipes, water tank & cables to metal recycling - made approx £150. Not exactly a lottery win but helped a bit...
