Hi how do I start the charge back process? Is it a letter and if so addressed to whom or is there a form to fill in?
Also if successful where does the money come from? I would hope the supplier who hasn't delivered but I can't see that that makes sense as how would my bank take from their account?

You contact the bank who issued the Visa debit card to you.LplateSaver wrote: »...Also if successful where does the money come from? I would hope the supplier who hasn't delivered but I can't see that that makes sense as how would my bank take from their account?
Don't worry about it. If your bank accepts your chargeback request that's their problem.0 -
MSE article:
AFAIK, it's the seller's bank that pays in the first place. Then they take the money from the seller's account if there is anything to take.0 -
This may be a silly question but I have just written my letter based off the template and was wondering if I should include 'I look forward to a full and prompt response to this letter within 14 days.' does the 14 days thing work? To me it seems a bit demanding when the bank have done no wrong but the supplier?0

Just phone them.0 -
OP what will you do if they stray outside of your 14 days?
Can you tell us why you want to start a chargeback?0 -
when I used chargeback I phoned Masterclass.
They sent me a form to fill in with details of the company and asked for details of what I had done to get the product.
I sent the completd form back with copies of the emails I had sent and details of telephone calls made which went to an answerphone.
They did advise it could take a few weeks to process.0
