Hello
Can anyone help me with my orange default account nearly about 4 years ago they defaulted me. The account now is sold to Debt collection agency know as Arrow global. In past I have written letter to orange which I didnt got reply and Know I am applying for mortgage It was declined due to a default on my credit profile by orange. The account balance stands up at £945, I think it 845 and them arrow global added 100 pounds over it.
Orange charged me calling a forwarding number which I didnt know and old terms and condition didnt have anything regarding the charging on forwarding numbers. I dont know how to resolve this issue any help will be appreciated.
I have written and made many offers to Arrow global but they have declined those offers. Also I tried calling orange as well but they just hang up by saying the account is not with us. Also I have email many people in orange such as :
francoise.clemes@ee.co.uk
olaf.swantee@ee.co.uk
stuart.jackson@ee.co.uk
customer.services@orange.co.uk
executive.office@orange.co.uk
none of the above mentioned as replied to my email.
PLEASE HELP

Pay the while amount and have it done with. But whether you pay whole or partial, the default will stay on your file for another six years.0

Hi Op,
What exactly are you trying to do?
If it's get the default removed so you can apply for a mortgage then it's not going to happen, even paying what is owed isn't going to get it shifted...
My advice would be to haggle over a settlement with Arrow (it's nothing to do with EE now so forget that) and pay it off for as little as you can get (be prepared for counter offers).
The default will appear on your file for the next 2 years making it very difficult (though perhaps not impossible) to get a mortgage so why not just save up a bit more of a deposit in the meantime

Agreed with the others. Orange/EE has sold the debt on and will not enter into a discussion.
I can also say with pretty much certainty that there WERE t&c's that covered call forwarding numbers. I dealt with that quite a lot when. I worked there and I know there was something. I will see if I can find it.
In regard to a mortgage, you will struggle. I previously had a default that I wasn't aware of until it was too late (long story, abusive ex). I paid it in full as soon as I found out about it and put a notice of correction on my credit files to explain what happened as it was the only negative amongst all positives, it didn't hinder me too much however I didn't need credit until my recent mortgage and. I managed to get a 'proper' rate but I had to jump through hoops to prove myself and luckily the lenders believed me.
The difference with you is this hasn't been paid still so no lender will look favourably on you as far as I can see.0 -
