confused!!

I am about to apply for a 0% on purchasing credit card, but when I read the fine print it states 0% on shopping for 15 months but lower down it states 55 days interest free credit if paid off in full monthly. The reason for the credit card is to pay things for a wedding such as registrar photographer etc. Will this class as shopping and so get the 0% for 15 months or will it be classed as credit and just get the 55 days? I will be paying off over time not in full monthly

  • Shopping and credit are the same things in this case. You will get the 0% on purchases.

The interest free if paid in full each month also applies. If you don't clear a card in full each month, they will charge you interest - which in your case, is at the rate of 0%.

It's after the introductory 0% offer expires. And it's up to 55, not just 55.

    What's 'credit'?
0% (introductory or 55 days) is for purchases only. If it's a cash advance, not a 'purchase', then you get neither 0%, nor up to 55 days.

It is a purchase if your photographer accepts credit card payments.
  • Thanks very much for clearing that up!
