Credit where it's due to FD. I applied Wednesday evening, did all the security set up Thursday morning and rec'd my debit card and welcome pack today. Impressed. :T0

Just a quick update on this, I contacted first direct who confirmed that although to get their personal loan I had to have a fd current account at that time, I can now switch my current account to Halifax closing the 1st account and my loan can remain with first direct. It would be paid by standing order from Halifax.0
