My sister managed to wrangle £10 from Virgin having talked them up from £5. The call centre chap explained that this was highly unusual and should be seen as an exception rather than a given. Quite rightly imho, my sister explained that were they not prepared to refund for the service not received due to their own ineptitude (being magnanimous, I'd say) then she would take her business elsewhere. Yah boo.
In other news, when I called my Mum last night it transpired that she had been without internet again for the day, and she was ready to give up on all things computer related. Fortunately I managed to wrangle some more info from her and talked her through resetting the new superhub the engineer had left her.
Actually, I'd better call her to see if its all working today :rotfl:
