    During study money is money.

    Does this bar job relate to your degree? After you graduate aren't there min wage jobs related to your degree? That would make more sense.
  • I did plenty of minimum wage jobs after I graduated - sometimes you have to take what you can get.

    I was able to live on minimum wage in Manchester, but with the following conditions:
    - was in a flat share with a friend, so split rent and bills
    - public transport, could not have possibly run a car
    - cheap phone
    - very little social spending: the occasional cinema trip yes, a big night out, no.

    And I wasn't amassing any savings, so if you are hoping to save up for something (another course/retraining, for example) you will have to budget incredibly hard, work all the overtime you can get, and live somewhere extremely cheap.
