Remortgage

Hi,
I was in a remortgage process, and working with London and Country mortgages. They put an application on my behalf, lender has done a valuation, and the lender has offered higher interest rate due to low valuation of the house. Then I sent them(Broker) an email and asked to research the market as the rate was not available, but somehow this did not go to the lender.
After a couple of days lender informed them that they cannot validate some of the information so application was declined. I learnt this yesterday as I was out of country and L&C somehow preferred not to send anything to me in writing but a conversation. They (L&C) told me that they cannot continue with the application, and there is no appeal process, but I received a letter today from lender there is an appeal process.
It seems that the broker did not want to continue to save their time I think they believe that this is not going to be successful. I personally do not bother about this too much now as the broker let me down, and they are very unhelpful but need to know whether this might have any impact on m future mortgage applications.
thanks
