Credit file & multiple addresses

Hi, I am after a little advice please..
I am not sure what addresses I should use when making applications and exactly where this lies with fraud etc, but want the best lending rates I can get.
Basically I joined the forces many years ago and found out very quickly that using my forces address over my parents address got me terrible lending rates. So since then I have used my parents address. Plus changing address every few years is a nightmare.
Recently since leaving the forces I still have the majority of my accounts at my parents address including my main bank account. I have however taken a few things out to my current rented address(es). I have had an Equifax account for years and although I have only advised them of my parents address, they show no linked addresses on file. Is it possible Equifax has 2 different accounts for me at different addresses? And if so would a lender see both if I only provide my parents address on an application? Since I rent privately is it stretching the truth a little too far to say I'm living with my parents? Obviously my own bank could see, but others couldn't.
I consider my credit rating on Equifax to be pretty good. I never miss payments or default, however about 6 months ago a few requests for credit netted me terrible rates (no idea why) and due to several circumstances forced me into a tight corner where I hate to say it, I turned to a payday lender. I'm sure they smell desperacy! I got back on track quickly and never missed any payments but I'm concerned about this on my file now (although it doesn't show on Equifax)
Now I've decided to check with Noddle and Experian but here's where my dilemma starts.. do I apply and enter all my addresses because could that not potentially link some that may not already be linked? Or just use my parents address and see if they show as linked? I also plan to check National Hunter but the same issue applies. At the same time I would like to see exactly what they have on file for me. Would it be better to potentially keep addresses separate if possible and use it to my advantage when applying for credit.
Anybody with any thoughts much appreciated

There are reasons other than your credit file that can lead to a rejection - what's the level of your current borrowing vs. your salary, for example?

Which address are you registered on the electoral roll at?
I would provide the credit reference agencies with your current rented address and your parent's address.
I would not put on any credit application that you live with parents if your actual status is that you are renting.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Hi thanks for the replies.
I don't think by borrowing vs salary is excessive. Its certainly been more in the past.
The thing is if I combine 2 loans with the APR I was offered about 18 months ago I could save £250 a month. The only reason I have a second loan is because a business took advantage and now I'm having to take them to court over £3500! Unfortunately I had kind of already allocated that money. The second loan APR isn't the best because they like to take advantage of the desperate!
I'm earning more money than when the first loan was taken out so I don't get their reasoning.
As for where I am registered, its at my rented address.
Thanks.0
