Question about £5000 mcol limit - my claim is more than this

Hi,
I am preparing a claim against Alliance and Leicester with the MCOL website.

I plan to claim for two accounts,

acc 1. £764 claim + £188 interest
acc 2. £4673 claim + £996 interest.

I know about the £5k limit on small claims - what do people think is the best way to deal with my claim? I am not sure what to do at the moment.

split the claim in two....claim for so many years of half the amount then claim for the rest...
