Lidl stuff is comparable to the standard own brand products both in price and quality. Fruit and veg is a lot cheaper, but you can only buy prepacked so if you don't use much then better off at big 4. Home Bargains I've found is much cheaper than them all, but you're not going to get a lot of fresh in there. Things like cereals, tinned food, household, paper products etc are on our monthly HB list.Clean credit file:12 mthsCar loan: FREE! :jTHE PLAN: 1.Pay off debt £8808.42(£3254.45, £1570.32, £2698.33, £0:dance:, £1000, £285.32) 2.Save monthly for Christmas/insurance etc £150 per month 3.Save for emergencies /£1500 4.Save for our B&B £????depends which one takes our fancy0

Thank you for your responses. As someone said, it is trial and error, will have to give things a go and see. It's finding the time when you're working and have a young child! Did get Ald1 nappies yesterday as the box was much cheaper than tesco brand on offer! Lidl Fruit&Veg must be different depending on the size of store. The one nearest me does both pre-packed and loose on most varities0 -
Our Lidl also sells both pre-packed and loose fruit/vegetables. We love their boxes of clementines nearer Christmas.0

I do my main shop at Aldis, and have done for many years now - I think that their 'brands' are equal to if not superior to the 'Special' range of the supermarkets. I have rarely been disappointed. the prices can be less than supermarket brands but sometimes a bit dearer than 'value' ranges. now if you normally buy the value range - you can look forward to better quality and better value really.0

Aldi say " Like brands only cheaper" it really means same as own brands !!! You will save the same or even more using mysupermarket and buying own value brandsMy Motto in Life:
