Using left over Chilli.

Options
I have made a big pot of chilli to have with rice. we will use leftovers to have with baked potatoes, but what else can I use it for?

I don't have any taco shells to make into tacos, or tortillas to serve with that...any suggestions?

We like it topped with mashed potatoes, sprinkling of cheese like a shepherds pie... Or wrapped in pastry as a pastie
    weaving through the chaos...

could have it with pasta, like slightly spiced bolognese?
  • Could water it down a bit and have it as soup. Or just freeze it to have again another week - we do that all the time.

  • I batch cook chilli and freeze in portions. Normally have with nachos or rice or baked potatoes, but have also made some very successful lasagnes with it :) yummy :)

By itself topped with cheese like a soup, in a sandwich, on top of rice, on top of nachos, on pasta/in lasagne, on top of chips/wedges (chilli is especially good with sweet potato wedges).
  • Put some on a pizza base with tomato salsa, grated cheese and sliced jalapeno peppers and cook for about 5 or 6 minutes near the top a hot oven.

;) Felines are my favourite ;)
  • Do you have a sandwich toaster? Leftover chilli makes amazing toasted sandwiches.

Wrap it in pancakes and bake under a white sauce.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing
  • Make a lasagne with it, or stuff samosas.
