Part Time Student Bank Account

Hi All
I can't seem to find another post about this.
I'm trying to see if I can get a student bank account as a mature part time undergrad student but can't seem to find any info directly related to this.
I have called my current account provider (Santander) & they've said I'd be eligible if I were full time. Oh so helpful, as I clearly said I was part time!
Has anyone successfully applied for a student account as a part time mature student?
If not I'd like to know best accounts overall as Santander have discontinued my current account - I will be working full time & if I have to pay a fee to get the best then so be it.
Thanks in advance.

A standard current account might beat a student one. I just depends what in particular do you want the account to offer you?0

I currently have a standard account with Santander, I used to get European travel insurance & interest on my in credit balance. Both of which have now stopped & means I get absolutely nothing.
So I would like to get the best out of my bank account in terms of being fee free, lower charges & any additional perks. As mentioned if I was full time I would be entitled to a Santander student account which includes the student rail card & fee free overdraft.Debt £16,000

I think you were given duff info or you misunderstood what you were told as there doesn't appear to be anything in the Santander 123 Student account T&Cs about part time students not qualifying. In fact, they are saying that "and/or income from any part–time employment must be paid into it" - - i.e. they allow you to have a part time job. Which seems what you do have since you can't have a full-time job if you are also a part-time student.....
You might not qualify for other reason, but all the eligibility criteria seem to be clearly laid out to me.

I spoke with them on the phone. The person I spoke with did put me on hold to check. But I was told I should be in full time study.
I'm working full time as I'm going to Birkbeck which is a specialist evening Uni.Debt £16,000

I'm sorry Archi I don't understand.
Everything I find on google does say that Part time students often have trouble getting a student account regardless of employment. I was hoping someone may have successfully applied for one as most people that study part time do so so they can still support themselves or family which implies they are working full time hours.Debt £16,000
