Julian Hodge Bank for Savings

Can anyone offer a 'review' of the Julian Hodge bank.
I'm looking for a home for savings as ISA limit is reached for this year.

I've had several Fixed Rate products, including ISAs with them over the years when their rates were competitive.

    Never had any problems :)

Just a thought. Have you filled all the high interest rate current accounts?

2 Direct Debits are very easy to get. Many people do it with Tesco savings accounts.

    No need to be overwhelmed.

Have a read around the forum, especially this one, and Budgeting & Bank Accounts, then come back with any questions.

It will take you a little more time and effort to achieve 5% or 4% on several £000s, rather than settle for pitiful rates in 'normal' savings accounts.

    Your money, your choice
  • I will thanks.

Have used them in the past and no problems at all.

£4k with TSB. No direct debits needed at all and you get 5%. Can't beat the rate with an ISA.
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

Thing is its my aunts money (have LPA) and its around £150k.

Will open Santander123 paying 3%, have one direct debit to nursing home already and £3 pm to RSPB, a charity she has supported previously. This gives around £568 pa interest.

Then we'll see what to do next.

Whilst this thread is alive - if I put 2k into Nationwide and 2k into TSB and put D/D to each on the same day for 500 to each other - will I qualify for the 5%?
My Goal: From 1st of Jan 2015 to 31st of December 2015 is to save 30000.

    48.78% towards 2015 target.

    105.3% towards 2014 target. :j
