3% on Tesco bank & TSB?

Options
Hello everyone,

Really quick and easy...

If i sign up for the Tesco bank current account to get the 3% on balances. Can i transfer in £750 from my FD account then withdraw it straight away so i can get this rate & not pay the £5 per month??

Can this also been done with TSB? Both these rates are better than my ISA even with the tax!

Thanks

Darren

Thank you! Ill get on to this!
  • Just a reminder that Nationwide FlexDirect pays 5% and Club Lloyds pays 4% so both are worth considering. The paying-in requirements don't have to be done in one chunk.

The 5% only lasts for 12 months.

NB all the other rates mentioned are variable, so could change ;)
  • Nobody's mentioned the BOS Vantage - am I missing something here with this account?

No. They often get overlooked. Don't know how long they'll last in their present form though :(
  • I was going to say I wouldn't get BOS until we find out tomorrow!

It stills baffles me that you can get more interest in a current account than you can in a savings account! Maybe that's why I'm not a £100,000 bank manager.... :-(

If you opened 2 Tesco's account can you just set a standing order from one to the other, like you used to be able to do with the old Lloyds Vantage account?
