Is BT *monthly* line rental partially refundable?

Hi folks,

After having kept my line rental with BT (haven't paid them for a call in years, well maybe one or two -- thanks Heinz!) since forever, I've decided now to switch due to Ofcom no longer enforcing them to provide over-ride numbers (they still do, but for how long) and you no longer being able to get CLI for free. Also I was an O2 Broadband customer who's now fed up with Sky Broadband :)
I will be losing my treasured Primus Mobile 20 CPS though :( but calculations show I should still be quids in.

So... switching back to Plusnet (had good experience with them in the past, I know they are now ironically owned by BT!) who had a good deal on broadband and line rental. I tried to time it so that the phone line would switch just before my yearly BT Line Rental Saver ended, but unfortunately the phone switch will happen two days after. I obviously haven't renewed the LRS but BT will obviously charge a month's line rental when it ends. If the phone line switches 2 days later will I get a (pro rata) refund on the month's line rental, does anyone know? I'm doubting it but you never know.

Incidentally, does anyone know if there's an override number that would allow me to continue using the Primus Mobile 20 account?

Sorry to ramble, just putting the whole picture out there!

Be seeing you,

Ben

Yes, subject to the required notice having be given, you'll get a pro-rata credit on your final bill.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

No, only BT allows CPS and, as you'll be moving your line rental from BT, there's no way to keep or access your (and my) treasured Primus Penny Mobile 2.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
