N..ier parking Waterlooville

Hi - I think I was set up beautifully..... not familiar with Waterlooville. Parked in car park, only a few cars in there. Asked bloke returning to car where Argos was - he told me and gave me his parking ticket which had 3 hours parking left on it. When I get back to car I have a Fixed Charge Notice because apparently I "transferred the ticket from another vehicle". I guess this info. is at the "Pay Here" and of course because he gave me the ticket I didn't need to. Obviously guy would have known that you have to put in your reg. no. so he didn't do my any favours. £40 FCN. Only place I KNOW you put your reg. no. in is at Tescos in Fareham. I was observed from 15.51.13 to 15.51.29 !!! Think £40 is a bit stiff as "genuine pre-estimate of losses" as guy had obviously paid his ticket - just he "transferred" it to me. My son reckons I was set up. Is this worth contesting ???? :( Can't afford to give DeSavary my £40 -

just read the NEWBIES sticky thread and all the other recent n@pier posts on here , then appeal it as usual, but check the signage too as it will matter with it being n@pier

check the recent parking prankster blogs including de-savs reply as well, to get more knowledge of what you are dealing with

bear in mind most p&d car parks have VRN entry and the tickets are not transferable

also bear in mind the BPA says £100 is the maximum so you could have had a £60 charge rising to £100 with a few other companies

otherwise, if you are not up for it, pay PTAS £16 and let them deal with it (parkingticketappeals.org.uk)

There are some on here who say they can beat Napier at Popla, there are others who are not so sure. Read this thread

and the recent Parking Prankster blog and decide whether you fancy a pop at Mr de Savary or not.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
  • I know it's no help to you with regards to this, but for future information there is no need to pay for parking in Waterlooville. The car park with Argos, DFS, Matalan etc is free as are the 2 asda car parks (the bigger one usually has plenty of spaces).
