This MOU (which is in the public domain) should help when hire companies pay when they shouldn't have done so:

    Thanks for that.

However, hirers may have missed the point in 3.2 (3) a) and POFA 2012 as well, of course.

This states that the hirer must have a t&c that the hirer agrees to that places an obligation to pay for any "Parking Charges" whilst on hire.

The cases on here nearly always have this wrong as the hire companies refer to parking fines,

    Technically, therefore, they become liable.

I assume by they you mean the Lease/Hire company?

PS - was the original thread deleted?

Yes, the original thread WAS deleted, but the document has resurfaced in this thread.

This thread may well be deleted.

The document is in the public domain. Even if this thread were to be deleted, the document would still be in the public domain.

    Why do you say that?

The previous thread was presumably deleted because of the irrelevant unpleasantness it developed into, not the useful PDF which is highly relevant.

Quentin, what you do not know is that some members of this forum have close links with the Security Services, who, on the instructions of "C", who was ticketed for bilking at Slough B&Q car park have been tasked with bringing down our Trev.

Fair enough, I was under the impression the thread was removed for other reasons... otherwise the "Unpleasant" posts would have been removed and the rest should have stayed
