Best buy from these two laptops.

My laptop is nearly dead and am now on the hunt for a replacement.

I have so far seen two laptops, but since I'm no computer expert, I thought I would ask if anyone can help.

Would like to know which is the better laptop and why. I am looking for a touch screen & both are touch screen.

I am going to search for others as I'm not in a hurry to buy.

  • Having been stitched up by Dell* with their batteries that just stop working after a pre-determined time, forcing you to buy a new one, I would get the Lenovo.

    * They may have stopped doing this now, it was a good few years ago, but it was enough to put me off Dell laptops for life.

What processor does the Lenovo have ?
Even their website does not reveal this vital info - saying "up to i7" - I would be very wary of buying any laptop just with the knowledge that I am getting a PENTIUM"

From the specs in the link...

    Intel® Pentium® 3558U processor

Runs at 1.7GHz and is slower than most I3s. Emphasis seems to be on low power consumption and longer battery life.

The Dell i3-4005U is a bit faster.
  • I would go for the levono, had loads of problems with DELLs and weird wifi issues.

Don't buy a computer from Very unless you're positive it's cheapest. It's almost always expensive for electronics.
  • Thanks for the replies.

Think I'm pretty convinced that the Dell is a no no.

As for the Levono, Currys/PC world have a one online, albeit a slightly different spec. Went into the local store and they had none in stock for me to look at.

Just wondering would it be best to wait till after Christmas and hope some laptops go in the sale, or doesn't it work like that?
