Lloyds Credit Card Eligible

hi everybody,
I had an enquiry with my bank lloyds today, and I was told over the phone that I'm eligible for a credit card with them. Does it mean that if I proceed I will get the card without doing a hard search on my file, knowing that they get CRA monthly feed, or it's an estimate and I should do a full application.
Also they said I may get up to £7000 limit, does that mean that usually such offers can get up to £7000 or that my limit with them will be something around that.
thank you

Whilst I've never dealt over the phone, I have taken a couple of 'guaranteed acceptance' online offers in recent years, and never been formally externally searched.
Furthermore, the indicated limit is what I got.
They do say, however, that the offer is made "providing your circumstances haven't changed recently", which points to their reliance on the CRA monthly feeds as you suspected.0 -

Not in my opinion, no.
I wouldn't take a phone CSA's word. I'd want to see it in writing, either online or in branch*.
* Ask nicely and they might 'swivel' the screen so you can view your guaranteed offers.0 -
Thank you, I will pop into a branch tomorrow0
