Just waiting on this before I can exchange. Been given Monday 22 sept by my solicitor as estimated result of search. Can this be speeded up if I call thames directly or another method?

They will not discuss the timeline with you I'm afraid only with your solicitor as he initiated the searches.
Also as far as I know there is nothing you can do apart from wait at this stage.
Is someone in the chain pressuring you?0 -
It can take up to three weeks!0

My tenancy ends at 30 Sep so would obviously like to exchange and complete by then. Lets say searches is fine on Monday.
- Is there anything else I should do to aid the exchange and complete process? Eg deposit transfer.
- does there has to be 5 working day gap between exchange and completion?0 -
In some cases you can exchange and complete in the same day so not always have to have a gap between them.
However I think you are threading a thin line regarding your tenancy. Anything could go wrong at any point so you can't really plan around that date.
Have a word with your solicitor and request 29 sept as completion then see if you can extend your tenancy for a week in case you have to.0
