Spindle sleeve?

My front uvpc door is jammed locked. It's one of the push the handle up to lock it.
I've taken the handles off and inside the hole where the spindle slots through, there appears to be something broken so the spindle just spins.
Is the sleeve?
Do I knock it out and replace or is there a knack to tackling this.
