I started Root canal when on jsa (cleaning etc
But 3 day before going to final apointment with dentist i applied for Esa(signed off jsa)
Now at the final dentist appointment i(i am not on jsa ) the dentist made me sign form. "She said, are you on jsa, i said im on esa" i signed it because She told me to.
So, what will happen, will i get fine or get made to pay for treatment?

Income related ESA and JSA are treated the same from entitlement to free dental treatment.0

Hi.
thanks. But on the final appointment to the dentist, i was not on jsa .
I only applied for ESA 3 days ago. Will i have to pay?0 -
What do you mean.
Do you mean that you phoned up ESA and said that you want to claim ESA, not JSA, and they closed your claim - or that you closed your claim for JSA, then waited to claim ESA?0 -
I Signed off JSA 3 days ago(which i was claiming for a year).
I signed on ESA 3 days ago.
I then went to my final Root Canal treatment yesterday
Will this cause confusion with dentist, will treatment be free?0 -
It's your status when you started treatment that counts. How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -
as above.
if you were entitled yo free treatment when this course of treatment started, it will be finished without cost regardless of income changes
