Bath tap shower diverter failed

The ten year old Ideal Standard (Waterways Brassware according to the leaflet we were left) bath tap self cancelling shower diverter in our main bathroom has failed.
We rarely use it as we also have a shower cubicle but, a few days ago, a guest told me that it wouldn't work. The water would not divert to the shower hose when the knob was lifted.
I tried pulling the knob reasonably hard and it still would not work.
I tried again a few days later and this time, after repeatedly pulling the knob upwards, it started working again but it does not completely shut off the water from the tap.
About 95% of the water is now going up the shower hose but a dribble is still coming from the tap. Previously it was 100% either way. The same model of tap in the ensuite bath works perfectly 100% either way.
We can live with it as it is as we rarely use it but, if there is an easy fix, I would like to get it back to 100% function.
There is a small grub screw (not visible in the picture) that allows the removal of the shower attachment.
Will I find anything adjustable if I remove that or is there something else I can do? Does the shaft of the diverter knob screw in or push in?
Comments and suggestions please.
Thanks

You could certainly remove the grub screw. The grib screw isn't for removal of the shower hose, that is done by the chrome nut further down, so the grub screw may allow access to the mechanism.
However, in my experience, they tend to be a non serviceable mechanism and you may have to replace the whole tap.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0
