A&L reduce interest rate on childrens savings by 30%

Just received a letter from A&L notifying us that they are reducing the interest rate on Childrens savings - FirstSaver from 5.25% to 3.65% gross/AER from 1st July.
If you have an account - vote with your feet and get out now.
Having closed my current account as a result of their total imcompetence and appalling customer service - this account will be next.
They must be the most cynical bank out there (and then some) attracting customers in with really attractive initial offers and then really slashing the benefits by unprecedented amounts.
But how amoral to extend it to childrens savings accounts

thanks for the heads up my mum has an account for little miss divadee with a&l will see if she has got one of these letters if she has tell her to close it in july.0
