I also told deputy head that he has been grounded for it and he got the girl a letter n chocolate... feel like I sold him down a river though :( my mum said I should not have said abt his punishment :( I feel awful.... due to get a phone call at lunch time xxx

We always tell the school what sanctions have been imposed and our two are at secondary school, we did the same at primary school too xx
  • Aw monz, can't be easy all this.

    Sending hugs.

Spoke to school and now I have huge mammy guilt... Turns out the we girl wasnt doing her work and was trying to wind my boy up and he turned to try swat her away and she got hit by a pencil. The teacher sorted it and didnt tell anyone as nothing to tell and they wondering who the lil snitch was grassing him up.

I feel so terrible. They were like we were just commenting how welll your son is doing and how far he has came so I mentioned TKD and playing for Scotland and they are going to give him a special mention in next assembly if he could bring in his medals to show how proud they are.

I need to take him out tonight after tkd (life his grounding) and buy him something. I feel like worst mum ever :( I even used the line disappointed and everything my poor we boy was in tears and he has a we soul that takes things to heart.... I am feeling like sh*t xxx

  • Oh don't be to hard on yourself, you know you were only going on the information provided to you at the time by the school.

Just enjoy some time with him and it will all be fine.

You are not a bad Mum monz.

    Dxxx
  • As Dolly said, don't be so hard on yourself.

You did what you had to based on the information you had at the time and I'd have done the same thing, thinking about it...I think I probably have done

You're certainly not a bad mum and if parenting was easy, everyone would do it.

How lovely of the school to ask him to bring in his medals and for the mention in assembly, you must be very proud and rightly so :D :T

    Sending lots of hugs xxx
