Best way to go

Hi,

About a year ago i went through a tough time and this resulted in me moving away. Since then things have got better but looking at my credit file i notice i have a defaulted on a loan and i was un aware of it. It has since been sold to a debt collection agency and that two has defaulted leaving two bad marks on my otherwise good credit file.

I really want to pay this back as it is only a small amount of £319 but also whats the best way of getting the default off my credit file. its so unfair as i didnt even know i was behind.

Many thanks

Dan

  • Highly unlikely the default will be removed. It's meant to be a true reflection of the management of your account.

What do you mean when you say you were unaware of having defaulted on the loan?
  • i moved away and kept paying every thing as usual. because i had changed address i never received any letters
  • That makes it difficult for you to claim it's unfair that you didn't know about the default, as you didn't tell them where you lived.
