I've been comping for about 3 weeks now, thanks to all those who post such great competitions!
My questions are perhaps a little innocent, considering I have yet to win anything!:
- To those that have won, is it obvious when you have had a win?
- Does the email subject header say 'winner, congratulations, well done' etc...?
- Do some 'Winner' emails go into your spam folder by mistake?
I'm worried that I'll miss a win if I have to do something to collect my prize, or if I have to read through loads of information to find it, or if something that's a little more complex ....
I am of course very wary about tick boxes when entering, but some competitions you have to sign up to get their newsletter or something.
I hope that previous lucky winners can advise......Keep positive! & good luck to all!!

Welcome to the comping world! Sometimes it does say "winner, congratulations, well done" in your Inbox sometimes the subject is the competition title you've used etc. Always worth checking your spam folder as a few people have had winning emails in there too!
Most of the prizes get sent to your home address, the only things I've had to collect mostly are tickets to an event which is from the venue on the day anyway.
Good luck and hope some wins are on it's way to you soon!0 -

Hello New Person :j
Folk above have covered everything nicely but I just wanted to say Hello!
If you can't be bothered to read all the fabulous advice given in the above links all I would say is....
1. Do open a comping email address so your day to day email addy is not stuffed full of spam.
2. DO check your spam folder daily and also properly read subject lines in your inbox as sometimes it is not always clear you have won (but this doesn't happen too often).
Have fun with comping and I wish you the very best of luck, *fingers crossed* for shed loads of wins soon!
