The key is to get off to a good start. I've only got 34 points whereas the leader has well over 70. How the hell did they manage that!?!?

Obviously Ronaldo is class, but he is out for the start of the season. I have done my analysis as long as you have a midfielder that plays every week he will score as many points as Joe Cole or Lennon. Money spent heavily in Midfield is money spent poorly. Better to have 3 strikers. Yakubu will play every week, less likely to pick up a booking and more likely to score.

You're midfielders will not score as heavily as anyone else, so why pump all your money into them? Top Midfielders will score less than top Defenders or Strikers. Yet Midfielders that play each week will still do ok.
