Should I be worried? Paid at tesco pump for £45 fuel on 29th Aug but money still hasn't been taken out but luckily I got the receipt.
Again today I filled up of £40 fuel and on £1 showing in my pending transaction.
Any ideas please
Thanks

The £1 will be a reserve amount to prove the card is valid. This should be refunded and replaced by the £40 in a few days.
As to the £45 ... maybe you've been lucky. But don't spend it - Tesco have up to 6 years to claim the debt.0 -
Tesco's pay at pump can take a while to show on your bank account but this does seem a long while. The longest I have had personally is about a week.0

What car do you drive? I've personally avoided supermarket fuel for most of the cars I have owned, despite its slightly lower price. However for my current Yaris (soon going to be part exchanged) I do use supermarket fuel but once in a while I add some fuel additives to keep the engine clean.
As for all the other performance cars I have owned, current one being an M3 I only use Shell V-Power or if that isn't available BP ultimate or Esso supreme. Car runs smoother and feels more responsive with the higher octane fuel. I remember Tesco use to have their own variant, the monemtus 99 or something. Haven't seen that for the last few years though. In any case I had a positive experience using that on my car at the time, not sure why they stopped producing it...0 -

higher octain fuel is a bit of no point in small CC engines. I only felt a small difference when I had a 2.0l and 1.8l engine none performance wise but idle was smoother and some minor flat spots in the rev range were removed, but was ok to clean out some of the carbon build up in there once in a while.0 -

You drive an M3? Really? Why on earth didn't you mention that sooner?0 -

Are you 100% sure that you are checking the correct account and that you didn't use a different payment card to the one you normally use?0 -
Tesco Momentum 99 has been available at all Tescos, at least the ones I've visited, since I bought my current car in 2008. I use it all the time as my car is designed to get the best from 98 octane petrol.
With regard to OP, I use pay at pump all the time and I've never experienced a delay this long. As said, you may have got away with it.
Maybe you should go back and offer to pay again; Tesco needs all the profit it can get at the moment0 -
As to the £45 ... maybe you've been lucky. But don't spend it - Tesco have up to 6 years to claim the debt.
The debt itself is 6 years but for card payments the payment must be taken within 6 months of authorisation as part of the scheme rules. After that the debt is still valid but they cannot silently take payment.... or more accurately they can but as it breaches scheme rules you can legitimately ask for a chargeback and indeed there is a chargeback code explicitly for this0
