I have received a letter from DRP demanding a parking charge of £160.00 to be paid or face court action. Do I still sit tight? I have avoided any communication with UKPC since the ticket was issued in July, and ignored their first letter (I didn't get two). I am in Scotland.

In your circumstances you are doing exactly the right thing, DRP cannot take anyone to court in England and they certainly can't in Scotland.0 -
Yup - POFA 2012 was never enacted in Scotland, so if they can't identify the driver, they cannot take action. Just sit-out the threatograms.

Also, you could check the pre-POFA letter chain thread here for a fair idea of what they will send you, so you are prepared.0 -
Thank you all, sit it out I shall then!0

Hi I am new to this... I got a parking charge notice on 18/10/14 I had looked up a lot on here when I recieved it and see a lot of people saying ignore it as it is a charge. I got two letters ignored both and today I reciwved a drp letter saying If I do not pay by 2/2/15 court action will be taken. I am in England, can anyone help please?? 🙏🙏0 -

Please start your own thread, not hijack someone elses.
Read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES which tells you not to ignore and has been the advice for over two years. If you have read anything on this site that tells you to ignore a parking charge you are reading out of date information.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Then your agreeing to not hijack threads should be very fresh in your mind!
You now need to go and read the Newbies Sticky carefully - And concentrate on the specific advice for DRP in England and Wales, not Scotland!0 -
And play threatogramme bingo, the UKPC letter chain for Scotland is almost identical to the one in NI shown in this thread:Thank you all, sit it out I shall then!
