I think you're reamed TBH - their addresses are virtual, the 01865 number is quite possibly a VOIP/redirect, and the 'college' is based in Gib, masquerading as an Oxford college. Just strikes me as a business that isn't going out of its way to be upfront and helpful with clients.0

The ac domain that the website uses is for the Ascension Islands but has plainly been used to give the impression that is short for academia.
The people who run Oxfordcollege.ac in my opinion are just a bunch of shysters. Their courses are useless and they post fake glowing reviews on review sites, like here:
http://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/www.oxfordcollege.ac
Their website has an unsatisfactory reputation on Web of Trust.
https://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/oxfordcollege.ac
Unfortunately it looks like SLSKKJ's wife has paid for an entirely useless course although she could refuse to pay any more and wait to see what happens. As Oxford Learning College are based in the tax haven of Gibraltar they may have difficulty in recovering any outstanding fees. However the payment plan maybe via a finance company based in the UK in which case the OP will be stuffed.0 -
I just want add , for completeness, that my daughter xx responded to,an online search when her husband expressed an interest in progressing in his career.
What I observed was that the " rep"" who visited them avoided saying the name of the particular " college" ahem..who they dealt with , initially.
Why ?
Because if they said the name of the college, the person would simply google..0 -

I can appreciate the links you have provided (Web of Trust seems to say that there is a low confidence level for their assessment of the site) and also sites like;

The question is though, why are you encouraging someone to break a contract halfway through? What gives the OP the right to happily pay for 6+ months of a contract and then suddenly decide that they no longer want the service?
One could argue that the site doesn't provide a service you would accept, but OP has readily accepted the conditions well beyond their normal 7 (14) day cancellation period. Why should they now be allowed/encouraged to break the contract based on something they have previously accepted?0 -
Don't come the fake moral outrage with me, daytona0 and stop condoning criminality.
They are a bunch of scammers purely and simply. Their courses are completely useless as most people on review sites are saying. Yet you seem to think that criminals like Oxfordcollege.ac should be paid regardless of this.
There is a low confidence level on Web of Trust because not many people have rated the website. For your benefit I have now rated it.0 -
Fake moral outrage? More like real moral outrage bro... Also, one could argue that not paying for contracts simply because a person believes the service is "completely useless" is criminal. I can appreciate that they are probably useless, but OP has paid for the service for a long time now, so where was this objection previously? DSR (CCR) gave them a 7 (14) day cooling off period at the very least.Don't come the fake moral outrage with me, daytona0 and stop condoning criminality.

This may not help you but may help someone else.
There are plenty of genuine free courses out there. The only charge is if you want a certificate, but these are of the order of 10s of £.
For example:

They are based in Gibraltar so the Distance Selling Regulations (as was) didn't apply and in any case Gibraltar is not a member of the EU. That's why the criminal scum behind Oxfordcollege.ac choose to be domiciled there. Well that and the tax and law dodging attractions.
The only reason that you show 'real moral outrage over' this case is because you hate consumers and can't stand the thought of them having any rights. It beats me why you hang around on a forum called Consumer Rights you sad little man.0 -

But surely Daytona0 is also a consumer or are you suggesting Daytona0 has never purchased a product or service in their entire life?
As we all know the idea of Daytona0 not being a consumer is complete nonsense and with the obvious fact that Daytona0 is also a consumer makes your post seems very confused, out of touch and doesn't really make much sense.0 -

This suggestion may not work
I have successfully used this method to get out of a gym contract. They would't allow me to cancel my contract, so I made myself a complete pain until they kicked me out.0
