Shower quote - am I being unrealistic?

I got a local company to quote for a new shower, basin, light and taps in my bathroom (replacing the current ones which are old and a bit rubbish). The quote came back at £670 which I thought was ok.
I then asked for them to add a new shower tray (to replace the current one) 760cm square and a screen instead of the curtain which is there at the moment (bi-fold doors or something similar) to the quote.
It came back today and has gone up to over £1,850!
I thought an extra £1,200 for a tray and door was a lot but I don't know much about these things!
What do you guys think?
