A benefits fraudster that doesn't want to work would just make stuff up to get payment. She won't do that.
But she is making stuff up(fraudulent details on renewal form) to get child tax credit payments. That's no better.
Anyhow, going off topic isn't helping you with your finances. Sorry.LIVE SIMPLY * GIVE MORE * EXPECT LESS * BE THANKFUL0 -

I read on MSE that we would get maximum child tax credits if our household income is under £16,010. It is slightly over that so anything over would reduce the tax credit by 41p in the pound. .
Yes but your (household income) is over £25k. That's a lot more thank £16k. Therefore she will be getting a LOT more tax credits.0 -

But she only has the money because she committed a criminal offence as several other posters have pointed out.2014NewStart wrote: »As long as she still has her payout then that can be her share of the deposit. She can then rent this house out and have a monthly income which can be used to pay her share of the mortgage and have some left over to pay for her own personal luxuries. Then we can call that house our house rather my my house or her house.
A payout that morally and legally she should be living off if she chooses not to work instead of making a fraudulent claim and essential stealing from every tax payer in Britain.
I cannot understand how you or she can condone this. Millions are lost each year due to benefit fraud that could be paid to those most in need.
You can't swing a cat on this board without hitting a poster that has either been forced to sell their home, is fighting to keep it or has struggled with housing costs at some point yet between you there are two properties paid in full and yet you come here asking for help to repay debt and openly admit criminal activity and see no wrong in it. I have read this thread all day and it's made me incredibly angry that you cannot see how wrong this is.
I'm no expert but I suspect when (not if because it will happen) she gets found out there are going to be very serious consequences. There have been high profile cases where the guilty party has had assets seized and there goes the roof over your heads and the current debt total will significantly rise - it'll have to be repaid and there will be penalties on top. I've also heard of cases in the past where the guilty party was unable to claim for a period of time (not sure if this still happens) so what will you live on then? It's going to be even harder to find employment with a criminal record.
I urge you to do something about this now. It's always better to own up than be caught out.
