Hi Everyone,
Last year I changed my dry gas meter to a prepayment meter through Npower.
my meter was changed on 10 December 2013, they are still charging me dry meter bills for my gas,
I have kept phoning them, over the months, to correct this.
how do I get this sorted, it should not take this long to stop charging me money for gas as a dry meter, when I have a prepayment meter. they are billing me for over £300.00 for gas since 10 December 2013.
They would not allow me to make a complaint to get this sorted.
Please can someone help!

Probably just me, but I've never heard of the term 'Dry' to describe a type of gas meter
Assuming this means a 'Credit' meter, when it was swapped for a prepayment meter, the change crew should have left you a card which gave the reading on the old meter as it was removed, and the reading on the replacement meter as it was installed - If it wasn't actually handed to you, look for it in the meter box.
For n'power to tell you that you could not make a complaint, is astounding and complete cr*p
(n'power are getting so many complaints that the regulator has warned them they will take action if n'power don't sort themselves out, so it seems n'powers remedy is to simply to deny that a customer has the right to complain ! )
Write a letter headed Complaint, setting out the history of this problem and if n'power haven't sorted it out after 56 days from the letter date, go to the Ombudsman0 -
Try making a complaint to NPower on the phone - They will waffle a lot and not give you a complaint reference. I.e. No actual complaint was recorded.0

As above, write real letter, on paper, not e mail or phone, keep a copyEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -

Hi Itazaha Yapath
Thanks for your post.
I also assume you mean a credit meter when you say a dry meter. If you're receiving bills, it may be for two reasons: the first is that we haven't updated your meter exchange correctly; the second is that it's just an energy statement which includes your charges and payments on your prepayment meter, for your reference.
Either way, if you can contact me using the details on our profile page with your account details, I'll make sure everything's updated correctly. If you could mark the email with MoneySavingExpert and for my attention, this will be passed to me.
